We are proud to announce the recipients of our 2012 Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship. This year we offered scholarships to students in five states: California, Florida, Illinois, Ohio, and Texas. Our goal for the program was twofold: 

  1. To promote animation and its related fields as a career path for young people.
  2. To encourage aspiring animation professionals to research and understand what a career in animation requires.

We received nearly 300 scholarship applications and are proud to announce the following students as deserved recipients of the scholarship:  

Adara Beneway, Key West High School, Ramrod Key, Florida. Adara will be attending Ringling College of Art & Design.

Adrian Bolio, Piedmont High School, Piedmont, California. Adrian will be attending Woodbury University. 

Austin Neumeier, Carroll High School, Xenia, Ohio. Austin will be attending the University of Dayton.

Christina O'Neil, Cypress Bay High School, Weston, Florida. Christina will be attending the Tisch School of Art at New York University.

Crystal Jow, San Marino High School, San Marino, California. Crystal will be attending the California Institute of the Arts.

Dakota Sheperd, Saginaw High School, Fort Worth, Texas. Dakota will be attending Brigham Young University. 

David Eby, Suncoast Community High School, Wellington, Florida. David will be attending Florida State University. 

Derek Neff, Dekalb High School, DeKalb, Illinois. Derek will be attending Kishwaukee College. 

Namrata Das, University High School, Irvine, California. Namrata will be attending the University of California, Berkeley. 

Rebecca McLemore, Cuyahoga Heights High School, Brooklyn Heights, Ohio. Rebecca will be attending Cleveland State University. 

Shane Wagner, Rossford High School, Rossford, Ohio. Shane will be attending Bowling Green State University.
