Scope of Program:

The Art Center Design College has campuses in Tucson, Arizona and Albuquerque, New Mexico.  All three degree programs are offered at both campuses.  Animation students study drawing, digital filmmaking, character development and movement and 2D and 3D animation.  Each student creates a portfolio, and seniors participate in the Senior Animation Studio.  Graphic Design students concentrate on computer-aided design, web design and construction, package and label design, Photoshop skills, typography and marketing.  Students complete an internship and create a portfolio.  Illustration students focus on acquiring the skills necessary for different types of illustration, including advertising, product and licensing and publishing.  Drawing, painting, computer illustration and illustration software use form the foundation for this degree program.  Illustration students create a portfolio and may complete an internship if they wish.

Aspiring Animation and Illustration students must submit a portfolio as part of the application process.  Animation program applicants must also complete two animation exercises.  All applicants must participate in an admissions appointment, either in person or by telephone.  Need-based scholarships are available.
