Tuition Information: Undergraduate $21,258 for the 2011 – 2012 school year. Tuition does not include fees of $1,724 per year.

Scope of Program:

B. A. candidates in the Visual Communications program begin their studies with coursework in drawing, 2D composition, 3D design, studio arts, digital photography and visual design studio. They continue with coursework in art history, digital imaging, cross media studio, image design for the Web, color theory, mass communications, video production , journalism and audio in media. All students must pass a junior and senior portfolio review.

B. F. A. candidates in Art and Design who choose the concentration in Visual Design complete core coursework in 2D composition, 3D design, drawing, painting, ceramics, digital photography, visual design studio and art history. They then focus on visual literacy and digital imaging, multimedia printing, image design for the web, color theory, advanced multimedia printing and color theory. All students must pass a junior and senior portfolio review and create a final portfolio.

Disciple Scholarships are available for members of the Disciples of Christ Church. Need-based and merit scholarships are available. North Carolina residents are encouraged to apply for North Carolina Legislative Tuition Grants as well as need-based North Carolina State Contractual Grants, North Carolina Student Incentive Grants and North Carolina Education Lottery Scholarships.
