Scope of Program:

Graphic Design students at Baylor University must complete the Art Core, which includes courses in drawing, 2D and 3D design, figure drawing and art history.  They then focus on design methods, type and image, digital media for graphic design, photography, web design, identity design, package design and marketing.  All students must satisfy a foreign language requirement, pass a capstone examination and create a portfolio and senior exhibit.

Baylor University is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas.  Visual arts, merit and need-based scholarships are available.  Scholarships are available for qualified Baptist missionary and ministers' dependents.  Church matching scholarships are also available.  Baylor University offers a guaranteed tuition option.  Tennessee residents are encouraged to apply for state-sponsored grants and scholarships.
