Finding an animation program is easier today than it was 30 years ago. The industry has evolved and expanded so much, that most art & design schools offer programs for aspiring animators. Many traditional colleges have joined the cause as well by either expanding existing programs or creating new ones. Many of these schools are often ranked among the best, based on reports by organizations such as U.S. News & World Report, Princeton Review, and Forbes.

To find the best of the best, these organizations consider factors such as faculty resources, graduation and retention rates, financial resources, student selectivity, number of program offerings, and peer assessment. In the state of Vermont, 24 accredited colleges and universities compete for a spot on the list each year. Several made the list of best schools for aspiring animators. Scroll through the list below to find out which Vermont schools made the cut and what they have to offer.
