Best Graphic Design Programs in South Dakota

According to the most recent report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (March 27, 2012), South Dakota is home to 5,530 salaried artists, up from 4,260 in 2002. The Bureau reports that 250 of these salaried artists are graphic designers. They average $23,220 per year, down from $27,180 in 2002. The lowest paid graphic designers in the U.S. average less than $26,210 and the highest 10 percent earn $77,370. In 2002, the average salary for U.S. graphic designers was $36,680 (median).

They enter the field with a variety of degrees such as communication design, multimedia, media art, and of course, graphic design.
