According to the most recent report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (March 27, 2012), the state of Texas is home to 106,350 salaried artists and designers, up from 84,040 in 2002. More than 10,000 of the state’s salaried artists are graphic designers. They average $45,570 per year, up from $40,050 in 2002. This is higher than the national average salary for all careers, and one of the highest salaries for graphic designers in the U.S.
