Scope of Program:

Graphic Design students at Carthage College focus on human symbolic activity, public speaking, visual communication, typography, digital cinema production, 2D studio, visual design, page layout, design theory, graphic design projects and issues, history of graphic design, web design and time-based digital media.  All students complete a senior studio and create a senior project and portfolio.

Carthage College is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran church in America (ELCA).  All students must complete two religion courses.  Art, need-based and merit scholarships are available, as are ELCA and ministerial grants.  Students must participate in two J-Terms (January sessions).  Residents of Wisconsin may apply for state-sponsored scholarships and grants.
