Scope of Program:

Graphic Design students at Dakota Wesleyan University concentrate on basic design, art appreciation, printmaking, photography, typography, color theory, journalism, mass media law, grammar, entrepreneurial leadership, computer graphics, graphic design history, web page design and desktop publishing.  All students create a portfolio.

Multimedia students focus on computer graphics, Flash design, web page design, photography, video and 3D animation and modeling.  Students may choose the Multimedia Video or Multimedia Graphics Emphasis.  All students complete a practicum and create a capstone project and multimedia portfolio.
Dakota Wesleyan University is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.  All students must satisfy a foreign language requirement and complete required religious studies courses.  Merit and need-based scholarships are available.  United Methodist Church scholarships and loans are available to qualified students.  South Dakota residents are encouraged to apply for state-sponsored grants and scholarships.
