Scope of Program:

Digital Media Arts College offers students the opportunity to focus on computer and media arts.  Computer Animation students take courses in 3D animation, modeling, texturing and lighting, concept art and visual storytelling.  They may also select Digital Media Arts College's new Game Art concentration, which includes coursework in game engines, strategic planning and game art prototypes. Students create a demo reel or "proof of concept" video game.  Graphic Design students focus on drawing, print production, digital layout, design theory and history and vector imaging.  Students may opt for the Advertising Design concentration and take classes in copywriting, creative branding, interactive media and art direction management.

Master's degree candidates in Visual Effects Animation concentrate on 3D modeling, 3D animation, video editing, and motion capture.  A thesis production rounds out the program.  Graphic Design candidates focus on typography, media illustration, design management, marketing research and exhibition design.  Students must create a final project and portfolio.

Digital Media Arts College requires all students to purchase laptops and graphics software.  M. F. A. applicants must submit a portfolio or demo reel.  Portfolio scholarships and both need- and merit-based scholarships are available.  Florida residents are encouraged to apply for the Robert C. Byrd Honor Scholarship and Bright Futures Scholarship.
