Scope of Program:

Digital Art students at Eastern Washington University focus on design, art in the humanities, drawing, life drawing, contemporary art history, alternative media, professional practices, digital art studio and intermedia.  B. F. A. candidates must pass quarterly reviews.  Students create a capstone project.  Visual Communication Design students concentrate on design, painting, color design, art in the humanities, studio arts, color management, typography, web design, interactive design, electronic prepress production, computer graphics and technology and world art.  All students must pass quarterly reviews, create a capstone project, senior portfolio and senior exhibition.

Eastern Washington University uses the quarter system.  A portfolio is required with the application to the B. F. A. program.  Merit and need-based scholarships are available.  Residents of Washington may apply for state-sponsored scholarships and grants.  Residents of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming may be eligible for reduced tuition through the Western Undergraduate Exchange.
