Scope of Program:
Graphic Design students at Hampton University complete foundation courses in understanding the arts, drawing, color theory and art history, then continue with coursework in typography and layout, printmaking, photography, illustration and rendering and publication design. All students must complete a senior seminar, pass exit examinations and create a portfolio and senior exhibition.
Hampton University is a Historically Black University. University students must follow a dress code. Merit and need-based scholarships are available. Residents of Virginia are encouraged to apply for state-sponsored grants and scholarships.
