Indiana Graphic Design Schools: Most Expensive to Least Expensive
According the most recent Institute of Education Sciences (IES) report, the number of Title IV schools per state has increased over the years. Indiana is now home to 109 Title IV degree-granting institutions. To earn Title IV status, an institution must be in business for at least 2 years, they must sign a participation agreement with the Department, they must have accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, they must offer a program of at least 300 clock hours in length, and they must grant an associate's degree or higher. A Title IV school is a post-secondary institution that is eligible for federal financial-aid programs. This makes them more accessible to students with financial need.
Many of Indiana’s Title IV schools offer excellent art and design programs—including graphic design. In fact, the graphic design schools listed below are ranked among the bets in the nation. While some of these schools may be on the pricey side, thanks to Title IV status, students have access to a number of financial aid programs that can help cover the costs of tuition, housing, and fees. Just a few of Indiana’s most popular schools for graphic designers include Indiana State University and University of Saint Francis.

Indiana Graphic Design Scene
Indiana is home to 3,170 salaried graphic designers, and possibly hundreds of independent designers. Many of the state’s salaried graphic designers work in major cities such as Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Evansville, South Bend, Hammond, and Bloomington. However, a growing number of the state’s graphic designers make the quick commute across the Chicago Skyway Bridge to work at the city’s major creative firms or other companies.
While many members of Indiana’s graphic design community work in advertising and web design, several other industries have become popular here over the years. These industries also happen to have the highest levels of employment in the nation (overall). They include public relations, publishing (books, magazines, newspapers, etc.), printing and related services, specialized design services, and computer systems design.
