Louisiana is home to a close-knit community of animators. They work at production studios, mainly in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, as well as ad agencies, web design studios, and more. The state is also home to more than 80 colleges and universities and more than 1,500 elementary schools where the expertise of artists and animators is always needed. In addition to this, the job scene for animators is promising thanks to Hollywood studios that frequently film here along with a sizable number of film festivals, associations, and initiatives that promote Louisiana’s animation industry.

The animation scene here isn’t the only attraction for aspiring animators. The opportunity to study and train in some of the state’s most inspirational and historic cities is the icing on the cake. A number of cities in the state have been the backdrop for films such as The Big Easy, Angel Heart, All the King’s Men, The Client, Eve’s Bayou, Interview with a Vampire, JFK, The Pelican Brief, Vendetta, and many more.
