Tuition Information:  Undergraduate residents $8,928, nonresidents $19,200 for the 2012 – 2013 school year.  Tuition does not include fees of $936 per year.

Scope of Program:

Animation/Illustration students at Lyndon State College must complete Foundation courses in drawing, design, color theory, digital illustration, image manipulation and motion graphics and pass a design seminar and design review to be admitted to the major.  They continue with coursework in art history, animation, studio arts, illustration, digital techniques, 3D modeling, 3D animation, visual narrative and vector graphics.  All students create a senior thesis and project.

Design students complete Foundation courses in drawing, design, color theory, image manipulation, digital illustration, web design, motion graphics and page layout.  All students must pass a design seminar and design review.  Students admitted to the Design major focus on art history, photography, advanced typography, print production, web production, branding, e-commerce and package design.  All students either create a portfolio or complete an internship.

Merit and need-based scholarships are available.  Residents of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island may be eligible for tuition discounts through the New England Board of Higher Education.  Residents of northern New Hampshire may be eligible for the Good Neighbor Program tuition discount.  Residents of upstate New York may apply for the Frontier Scholarship.  Residents of Vermont are encouraged to apply for state-sponsored grants and scholarships.
