Scope of Program:

Art students at Missouri Southern State University take foundation courses in art theory, color theory, drawing, 2D and 3D design and digital photography. Students in the Graphic Design emphasis concentrate on typography, publication design and layout, Illustrator, Photoshop and web design, and computer graphics. All students must pass a foundation portfolio review and junior year review and create a senior exhibit. Students must also take four semesters of the same foreign language.

Art scholarships are available; a portfolio is required with the scholarship application. Need-based and merit scholarships are also available. Residents of Missouri are encouraged to apply for Access Missouri grants and other state scholarships and grants.
