About Powerhouse Animation 

Founded in 2001, Powerhouse Animation is an Austin, Texas-based animation company that specializes in flash animation, traditional animation, video game cinemas, commercials, 2D, character design, Flash games, interactive, and advergaming. The company produces works for motion pictures, commercials, the Internet, videogame cinemas, and television series. In addition, Powerhouse produces Flash based interactive applications and games for advertising, console games, and online MMORPGs (massively multiplayer online role playing games). 

Powerhouse Animation credits include over 300 Dilbert cartoons, “The Lost Scene” for the Clerks X DVD set, and a series of animated shorts for Disney Interactive, to name a few. The company’s client list is as impressive as its credits and includes Microsoft, Sony, Dell, Miramax, Disney, and more.

In addition to a full-service animation studio, Powerhouse Animation is home to “Powerhouse University” (P.U.) which, according to the company website, is the name given to classes taught to the more than 30 employees of Powerhouse. P.U. teaches the basics of how to combine traditional animation with Flash-based puppet animation.
