Scope of Program:

Animation students at Regent University focus on digital art, fundamentals of animation, 2D computer-based animation, 3D animation, writing for animation, character design, gesture drawing, history of animation, storytelling and scriptwriting, comparative anatomy, graphics for television, cartooning and special effects.  All students create a portfolio and culminating project. Strong generalist program featuring both 3D using Autodesk Maya and 2D using ToonBoom Animate Pro and traditional drawing techniques.

Regent University is a Christian university; all students must take at least five Bible and/or religious studies courses.   Art, merit and need-based scholarships are available, as are church employee scholarships, church matching grants, military spouse and dependent scholarships and public servant spouse and dependent scholarships.  Virginia residents are encouraged to apply for state-sponsored scholarships and grants.
