Tuition Information:  Undergraduate $29,976 for the 2012 - 2013 school year.  Tuition does not include fees of $1,642 per year.

Scope of Program:

Students in Roger Williams University's Graphic Design Communication program focus on typography, art direction, web design communication, corporate identity, history of design communication and publication design.  All students must take two courses in computer information systems, marketing, communication or anthropology.  All students complete an internship and create a senior exhibition and portfolio.

Visual Arts students begin their studies with foundation coursework in drawing, sculpture, photography, painting, digital media professional practices, interactive media and mixed media.  Film, Animation and Video students focus on animation, topics in photography and digital media and video.  Photography and Digital Media students concentrate on topics in photography and digital media, concepts of digital media and photography and advance photographic process and content.  Students in all concentrations complete a senior studio and co-op and create a portfolio and thesis exhibition.  All students must pass mid-program and capstone reviews.

A portfolio is required with the application to both the B. F. A. program and the B. A. program in Graphic Design Communication.  Merit and need-based scholarships are available.  Special scholarships are available for residents of some Rhode Island communities.
