Scope of Program:

Southern New Hampshire University offers Game Design and Development Programs through its Business Studies department and its Computer Information Technology Department.  The degree requirements differ.  The Computer Information Technology/Game Design and Development degree is only offered online, while the Business Studies/Game Design and Development degree is offered both on campus and online.  Students in the Business Studies/Game Design and Development program complete the Business Core, which includes coursework in accounting, business law, finance, business systems analysis and design, marketing, human resources and strategic marketing and policy.  Students continue with coursework in interactive 3D virtual environments, design of virtual game environments, digital games and digital game development.

Students in the Computer Information Technology/Game Design and Development complete the Information Technology core, which includes discrete mathematics, business platform technologies, system analysis and design, database design and management, network and telecommunications management, object oriented analysis and design, and advanced information system design and implementation.

Graphic Design and Media Arts students focus on graphics and layout for print, desktop publishing, drawing, digital graphic design, digital photography, digital imaging, history of design, illustration and color.  This program is offered on campus only.
