Scope of Program:

The University of Illinois Springfield offers Visual Arts students the opportunity to select a concentration in Digital Media.  Students must complete prerequisite courses, including art history, 2D and 3D design, drawing and an introductory digital media or graphic design course, before they can apply to the major.  This application process includes a portfolio review.  Upon acceptance, students take courses in digital media, print media, web design, animation, computer animation and multimedia production.  Students create and defend a senior exhibit.

The University of Illinois Springfield offers scholarships; Illinois residents are encouraged to apply for state-sponsored scholarships as well.  Entering freshmen and transfer students receive a four-year tuition cost guarantee; their tuition rates will not increase during that period.
