Scope of Program:

University of Indianapolis is a small, private university that is "affiliated with the United Methodist Church," according to the school's website.  University of Indianapolis offers a B. F. A. program in Visual Communication Design/Graphic Design that begins with foundation courses in computers for artists, 2D and 3D design, drawing and oil painting.  Students then concentrate on visual communication design, typography and computer imaging, digital photography, art history, serigraphy and new media design.  Students create a senior portfolio and may participate in an internship if they wish.

All students must pass a sophomore year portfolio review.  Art, merit and need-based scholarships are available.  Students must submit a portfolio to be considered for art scholarships.  Active members of the United Methodist church may apply for United Methodist scholarships.
