Degrees Offered: B. F. A. Art with Graphic Design Emphasis

Tuition Information: Undergraduate residents $6,096, nonresidents $13,674 for the 2011 – 2012 school year.  Tuition does not include fees of $905 per year.

Scope of Program:

Graphic Design students at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh complete foundation coursework in drawing, 2D and 3D design, art history and digital art.  They must pass a portfolio review to be admitted to the B. F. A. program.  Admitted students focus on design fundamentals, design history, typography, functional design, commercial illustration, design projects, corporate identity, package design, studio problems in typography, studio arts and 3D studio.  All students complete an art seminar and internship and create a portfolio.
Art lab fees may apply. 

Art, merit and need-based scholarships are available; a portfolio is required with the art scholarship application.  "Return to Wisconsin" tuition discounts are available.  Minnesota residents may apply for tuition reciprocity.   Residents of Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and North Dakota may be eligible for Midwestern Student Exchange Program tuition discounts.  Wisconsin residents are encouraged to apply for state-sponsored grants and scholarships.
