Scope of Program:

Art students at Valley City State University complete foundation coursework in design, photography, printmaking, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, art history and tribal art. Students who choose the Graphic Design emphasis continue with courses in digital web design, authoring digital publications, Adobe Photoshop, design for engineering and website authoring.

All Valley City State University students receive a laptop computer. Art, need-based and merit scholarships are available. Students from Minnesota may apply for tuition reciprocity. Students from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming may apply for tuition discounts through the Western Undergraduate Exchange program. Students from Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin may apply for tuition discounts through the Midwest Student Exchange Program. Students from Manitoba and Saskatchewan are eligible for tuition discounts.
