Scope of Program:
M. F. A. candidates at the Vermont College of Fine Arts complete a low-residency program consisting of five week-long residencies and four self-study semesters. Topics covered in the residencies include history of design, design theory and criticism, digital technologies and design methods. Students work closely with an advisor during their residencies and self-study semesters.
A portfolio is required with the application to the Graphic Design program. Applicants must be well-versed in Apple Macintosh platform use and experienced in using Adobe Creative Suite.
