Scope of Program:

Visual Communication students at Weber State University must complete foundation courses in drawing, color theory and 2D and 3D design before applying to the major.  Accepted students concentrate on studio arts, art history, photography, typography, visual communication design history and theory, illustration, experimental typography, design for the Internet, printmaking, design production, digital media and digital page composition.  All students complete a design seminar.

Art, merit and need-based scholarships are available.  Utah residents are encouraged to apply for state-sponsored scholarships and grants.
