Metropolitan State College of Denver

Colorado is one of the most scenic states in the U.S. The state is so scenic that it earned the nickname “Colorful Colorado.” And colorful it is! Colorado is home to a plethora of plush parks, towering sand dunes (the tallest in America), and more mountain peaks than any other place in America. The state is home to an array of colorful characters as well, that indulge in everything from creating unusual art and crafts to ice climbing.

Denver Art Scene

The Denver art scene has come a long way since the 1960s. Described as a “cultural wasteland” back then, the city is now home to dozens of beautiful art galleries, the well-known Denver Art Museum, and the $15.5 million Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA Denver). Small venues have also made their mark here. The Laboratory of Art and Ideas in Belmar is a venue for contemporary art installations, and the Kirkland Museum features 20th-century furniture and design by artists such as Alvar Aalto, Paul Evans, and Ponti.
