Idaho is home to a tight knit group of artists working in a variety of environments from galleries to production studios to academic institutions. However, many of the state’s animators work in the film industry. Thanks to the efforts of the Idaho Film Office, the state attracts a number of productions each year.  Just a few popular films made in the country’s 13th largest state include Napoleon Dynamite, Dante’s Peak, and Pale Rider.

Animators with a film background can expect a number of productions to roll through the state each year, bringing opportunities to work in the areas of production, post-production, and advertising & promotions.
