The Chicago Art Scene

Chicago is as famous for art as it is for architecture. While it is home to many of the world’s tallest skyscrapers, it is also home to the world famous Art Institute of Chicago and literally hundreds of art galleries—big and small. Along with the Art Institute of Chicago, on any given day Chicago’s collection of up and coming galleries might display everything from modern abstract paintings to moving digital art installations. Digital art and animation is yet another area that has allowed Chicago to become a major player in the art world.
