The Los Angeles Art Scene

It’s no secret that Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world. Filmmakers, producers, animators, and other artists flock here to claim their piece of the pie. In most cases, this isn’t a tough thing to do. Los Angeles is home to more production and animation studios than anywhere else in the U.S. It’s also home to more animators than any other city in the nation. Nearly 10,000 animators call the state California home, with nearly half residing in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. These figures do not include freelancers, independent contractors, or animators that run their own private studios.
