The Lycos Tech Glossary defines communication design as the capturing, manipulation, and storage of moving images that can be displaced on computer screens. This requires that the moving images be digitally handled by the computer. A number of popular films have been shot predominantly on communication design. Just a few include The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Three Musketeers, Our Idiot Brother, Contagion, Zookeeper, Avatar, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and Slumdog Millionaire.
