Michigan graphic design schools: most expensive to least expensive

Michigan is just one of America’s education centers. It is home to nearly 4,200 elementary and secondary schools, and is  now home to 107 Title IV degree-granting institutions. What this means is, based on five requirements, these schools are eligible for Title IV financial aid programs. To earn Title IV status, a school must have accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, they must be in business for at least 2 years, they must sign a participation agreement with the Department, they must grant an associate's degree or higher, and they must offer a program of at least 300 clock hours in length.

So, what’s the difference between a “best” graphic design school and a “top” graphic design school? For starters, the publishers of each list handle the evaluation process differently. For example, several factors that “best” lists might not consider are cost and student population. The publishers of top schools lists may make cost and student body priority. Other factors used to determine which schools belong on “top” lists may include convenience, career placement services, quality of facilities and equipment, number recreational opportunities, and variety of social clubs.

So, what’s the difference between a “Best” animation school and a “Top” animation school? For starters, the criteria used to establish a “best” program might be different for top programs. One area that “best of” lists might not consider is the student population. These students may choose a top school for different reasons than someone that might choose a best school. For example, a top school may cost less than a best school, it might be more convenient than a best school, or the admissions process might be easier, meaning, being wait-listed might be a worry.

Aside from beautiful scenery, thanks to The Great lakes, Michigan is also home to one of the nations greatest underdogs—Detroit.

Michigan is the nations eighth largest state and it is home to several major cities such Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Lansing. While many cities here have an art and culture scene (no matter how small or large), because of its large population of more than 700,000, Detroit is still the most progressive city in the state. The city has attractions such as the Detroit Institute of Arts, Motown Museum, Belle Isle Park, the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts, and the MGM Grand Detroit Casino. Although the automotive industry (and Detroit) was hit hard during the recession, the city is still considered the car capital of the world.

Tuition Information: Undergraduate resident tuition $8,762 for lower division students, $9,680 for upper division; nonresident lower division students $21,494, upper division $23,934 for the 2011 – 2012 school year.  Lower division students also pay fees of $1,400 per year, while upper division students pay fees of $1,020 per year.
