For the past ten years Animation Career Review has been published annual rankings of the top animation and game design college programs in the US and abroad. In recent years we have received significant feedback from prospective students and/or their parents seeking guidance and information about Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) program options. In response to this demand, we have decided to publish rankings for VR/AR.
We are currently collecting information about VR/AR programs across the US as part of our 2021 rankings of the top VR/AR college programs in the US. These rankings will be our first of what we intend to be annual rankings. As part of our information gathering process, we kindly ask that a representative from each school complete this survey. We are seeking information from every college offering a program with a specific focus on VR/AR, be it a formal degree, a concentration or area emphasis, a minor or certificate, or a formal VR/AR research lab.
Our hope is that these rankings provide prospective AR/VR students and their parents with a viable starting point to identify the colleges and programs that best fit their academic needs and ambitions. Our ranking criteria will consist of -in no particular order- academic reputation, admissions selectivity, depth and breadth of faculty, and value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness.
Thank you in advance for your participation.
