Animation students continue their studies with coursework in computer animation, figure drawing, traditional animation, Maya, illustration and the business of animation. Design students concentrate on typography, design history, photography, design systems, visual communications and design specifications. All students complete an internship and create a senior project or portfolio.
Master's degree candidates attend five 10-day residencies on campus and complete their studio projects and course assignments at home. Residencies include critiques, lectures by visiting artists, critical theory courses and mentoring/planning sessions.
A portfolio is required with the application. Merit scholarships and teaching assistantships are available. Study and internship opportunities in New York City are available for undergraduates.
