Wisconsin is home to more than 5.7 million residents. Nearly 1.2 million residents live in the states five largest cities—Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Kenosha, and Racine. Besides the largest populations, these cities have a lot to offer in the areas of art and culture, education, and employment. First, Milwaukee is home to top art museums such as Milwaukee Art Museum (MAM), Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, Charles Allis Art Museum, and Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University.
Next, Madison is home to the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA) and Chazen Museum of Art at University of Wisconsin. And head to Green Bay where you will find the Neville Public Museum, or stop in Kenosha to explore the Kenosha Public Museum or Anderson Arts Center. Finally, Racine is home to the popular Racine Art Museum (RAM) and the Artist Gallery—a cooperative of 40 regional artists established in 1998. Wisconsin is also home to a variety of performance art venues, art associations, and hundreds of independent groups that help keep the art and culture scene alive.
Besides housing a large number of art venues and organizations, Wisconsin’s major cities are home to many of the state’s top art and design schools. Just a few include Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, Peck School of Arts at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, University of Wisconsin at Madison, Alverno College in Milwaukee, and Carroll University in Waukesha.

Awesome Animation Fact: Several scenes from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs were planned but never fully animated. They included a scene where the wicked queen holds the prince captive in her dungeon and makes skeletons dance before him; a reprise of "Some Day My Prince Will Come" in which Snow White imagines dancing with her prince up in the clouds below an ocean of stars; and a song called "Music in Your Soup" with the dwarfs warbling an ode to the supper Snow White has just cooked for them. -Moviefone
