Scope of Program:
Students in North Dakota State University's Digital Media program complete core courses in 2D and 3D design, photography, drawing, art history, painting, ceramics, sculpture and printmaking before continuing with Digital Media coursework. Students focus on digital media software and techniques, studio practice and critique and 2D, 3D and 4D computer-based art. All students complete a Digital Media seminar and baccalaureate project.
Students from Minnesota and contiguous states are eligible for tuition discounts. Students from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming may apply for tuition discounts through the Western Undergraduate Exchange program. Students from Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin may apply for tuition discounts through the Midwest Student Exchange Program. Art scholarships are available for juniors and seniors. Need-based and merit scholarships are also available. North Dakota residents are encouraged to apply for state-funded grants and scholarships and, if eligible, for North Dakota Indian scholarships.
