Competitive Entry into Animation Tracks – While students can enter the Emerging Media program, acceptance into the Character Animation track is highly competitive, with limited spots available each year.
UCF School of Visual Arts and Design Response: We offer two animation tracks, Animation & Visualization and Character Animation, that collectively accept over 120+ students annually, resulting in an acceptance rate of more than 60%. This is much larger than most public university animation programs in the country. The multiple track options provide more students with even more pathways to pursue their animation interests.
Limited National Recognition in Animation – The program is well-regarded but does not yet have widespread recognition as a top-tier animation school, which may make it harder to stand out in highly competitive job markets.
