Scope of Program:
B. F. A. candidates in Temple University's Graphic and Interactive Design program begin their studies with foundation coursework in drawing, 2D and 3D design, art and design and art history. They continue with coursework in typography, computer graphics, illustration, computers for graphic design, advertising design, packaging design, hybrid design, publication design, interactive design and digital narratives. All students create a portfolio.
M. F. A. candidates in Temple's Graphic and Interactive Design program focus on graphic design projects, art history and visual design. All students complete an interdisciplinary seminar and visual design seminar and create a thesis.
A portfolio is required with the application to the B. F. A. and M. F. A. programs. Art, merit and need-based scholarships are available, as are graduate assistantships. Pennsylvania residents are encouraged to apply for state-sponsored scholarships and grants.
