1. Image Campus, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Image Campus (Image) is South America’s first video game school and Unreal Authorized Training Center. As a vocational training educational institution, the school provides Higher Technician degrees in areas from Animation and VFX to Illustration and Virtual Production. All animation programs explore the 12 Principles of Animation. Image Campus alumni have been hired at places such as Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Discovery, AMC Networks.
2. Universidad Nacional de las Artes, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA) houses an Animation and Video Game Direction and Production master’s and a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts. The graduate program is jointly provided through the Department of Audiovisual Arts, the UNA Transdepartmental Area of Multimedia Arts, and the Faculty of Arts of the National University of Córdoba. Across programs, graduates are prepared to pursue advanced roles in the entertainment industry. Graduates of the master’s degree program are also prepared to launch their own studios or freelance business, or for careers in education and research.
3. La Universidad Siglo 21, Cordoba, Argentina
La Universidad Siglo 21 houses a Digital Design and Animation program that can be completed in four years, full-time. Leading to a bachelor’s degree and accredited by the Ministerio de Capital Humano, the program provides opportunities to work on projects with partners such as Sony, Disney, Activision, and Pixar. Graduates are prepared to pursue careers in animation and digital design.
4. Universidad del Cine, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Universidad del Cine has an undergraduate Animation Film Direction program that focuses on animation production for film, video games, television, and digital platforms. Upon completion of the program, students may continue on to the graduate degree program in Animation and Multimedia. Graduates are prepared to pursue titles such as Animator, 3D Modeler, Motion Graphics Designer, Concept Artist, and Animation Director. Program alumni work at animation studios, audiovisual production companies, game design studios, and advertising agencies.
5. University of La Punta, La Punta, San Luis, Argentina
University of La Punta (ULP) is home to the Institute of Communication and Art (ICA). Within the ICA is a Digital Design and Video Games program that explores 3D animation, video game design and production, digital illustration, and visual communication. This hybrid program leads to a technical degree in just 2.5 years. Graduates are prepared to pursue titles such as Animator, Video Game Designer, Multimedia Designer, Game Programmer, and Graphic Designer.
