1. Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, Brazil
The Animation program at Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) is project-based and industry-focused with opportunities to complete a professional internship. In addition to all areas of animation, students will explore game design, audio production, web design, and entrepreneurship. Other program highlights include courses taught by industry professionals; access to state-of-the-art production facilities; workshops and seminars; and an accelerated three-year format. The program culminates with a final project and presentation.
Graduates have secured roles at places such as 52 Animation Studio, Newtonian Entertainment, Belli Studio, Animaking, Wildlife Studios, Grupo Globo, and UFSC's own student-run design agency--Uipi (Empresa Júnior de Design e Animação).
2. Escola Britânica de Artes Criativas, Sao Paulo, Brazil
Escola Britânica de Artes Criativas (EBAC) provides two paths to study animation. Options include BA degrees in 3D Computer Animation and Modeling, and Visual Effects. The Animation degree is provided in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire. Programs can be completed online in 3-4 years. To graduate, students will complete a final project and portfolio of their best work. Program alumni are prepared to pursue careers places such as R/GA, Mustika, Immagini Animation Studios Brasil, Pazu Games, Combo Estudio, Voldex, Booming Games, Amber Studio, HYPE.CG, Xsolla, Monks (Formerly MediaMonks), ARVORE Immersive Experiences, and Cloudwalk.
