University of West Bohemia (UWB) has an Animation program that covers animation production, graphic software, and digital media. This full-time program leads to a Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA) or a Magister of Arts (MA). Graduates are prepared to pursue careers in animation, visual effects, live action filmmaking, virtual reality, concept art, 3D modeling, and character rigging, among others. Program alumni have been hired at film and television studios, graphic design firms, and advertising agencies.

Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (AAAD) houses the Department of Graphic Design. Within the department is an Animation and Film Studio that explores narrative and digital animation techniques. Studio students can earn a bachelor's or master’s degree. Programs culminate with a final project and exhibition. In addition to animated filmmaking, graduates can pursue careers in game design, installation art, motion design, music video production, interactive design, and trailer production.

Film Academy of Miroslav Ondříček in Písek (FAMO) provides certificate, diploma, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programs led by professional artists and award-winning filmmakers. Specializations range from Animation and Special Effects to Screenwriting and Directing. Animation students have the option to study traditional, digital, and/or experimental animation.
