1. Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Cyberjaya, Malaysia
Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (Limkokwing University) is home to the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), which provides several paths to study animation. Options include the Animation and Multimedia Design diploma; an associate degree in Animation; and the Animation BA. Graduates are prepared for to pursue roles at all levels. Examples include 2D Animator, Background and Layout Designer, Digital Ink Artist, 2D Concept Artist, Assistant Animator, Storyboard Artist, Character Designer, and Visual Development Artist. Associate degree students are also prepared for admission to the Animation BA program.
2. Multimedia University, Selangor, Malaysia
The Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) at Multimedia University (MMU) Within the faculty are two paths to study animation: the 3D Modeling and Animation diploma and a Bachelor of Multimedia in Animation. Both programs culminate with the production of an industry-ready short film or other work. Graduates are prepared to pursue titles such as 2D or 3D Animator, Concept Artist, Modeler, Storyboard Artist, Technical Director, Compositor, Motion Capture Artist, , 3D Game Designer, FX Artist, and Art Director. Some MMU animation graduates have also gone on to create and direct animated series and film such as Ejen Ali and BoBoiBoy.
