1. Multimedia University, Selangor, Malaysia
The Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) at Multimedia University (MMU) provides several paths to study animation. Options include the 3D Modeling and Animation diploma; a Bachelor of Animation; and a Bachelor of Multimedia - Virtual Reality. Across programs students benefit from hands-on learning; individual and group projects; access to stats-of-art facilities; and professional internships. Programs culminate a market-ready short or other work. Graduates have gone on to create and direct productions such as BoBoiBoy and Ejen Ali; launch their own studios (Yore Productions); and land positions at places such as Bandai Namco Studios, Wau Animation, Les’ Copaque Production, and Digital Durian (DD).
2. Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Cyberjaya, Malaysia
Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (Limkokwing University) houses the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM). Within the faculty are several paths to study animation. Options include a diploma in Animation and Multimedia Design; an Animation associate degree; and an Animation BA. All programs highlight industry-focused curriculums; hands-on projects; and a mandatory internship. Programs culminate with a final project. Graduates have secured roles at places such as MTV, Liquid Rock Games, Monsta, Lemon Sky Studios, Giggle Garage Animations, and Les’ Copaque Production.
