Utah is home to 41 Title IV schools. Although the state doesn’t have as many schools as largest states such as Pennsylvania, Texas, or Florida, many of Utah’s Title IV schools are ranked among the best in the nation and some even offer top-tier programs for game designers & developers. In fact, one of the best programs in the country is offered at the University of Utah. Other top-rated schools for artists and designers include Brigham Young University and Neumont University.
Utah’s top-tier colleges and universities have met five strict requirements established by the U.S. Department of Education. Without them, these schools would not be eligible for Title IV status. Utah’s 41 Title IVs (1) have accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, (2) have been in business for at least 2 years, (3) signed a participation agreement with the Department, (4) grant an associate's degree or higher, and (5) offer a program of at least 300 clock hours in length. Schools with Title IV status are eligible for federal financial aid programs. This means, even the most expensive schools are not out of reach for students with financial need.
