From Princeton Review to U.S. News & World Report, everyone has their own idea of which schools are top-tier. When deciding which schools are tops, these organizations may consider a different set of factors than the ones used to create many of the nations “best schools” lists. However, “top” lists, which are typically created by current and former students, bloggers, and other similar groups, usually include the same schools as “best” lists, but for different reasons.
Faculty resources, graduation and retention rates, financial resources, program offerings, peer assessment, and student selectivity are just a few factors that help to determine which schools belong on any given “best” list. While students do care about selectivity, program offerings, and faculty resources, several other factors carry more weight. In today’s uncertain economy, cost is the number one issue on students’ minds. Other issues include convenience, job placement services, variety of social clubs and other organizations, intramural sports, cultural opportunities, quality of facilities, student population, and access to recreational opportunities.
In the state of Massachusetts, an impressive number of the top schools offer superior graphic design programs. Continue reading to find out which top graphic design school programs made the list and what they have to offer. Please note that the schools are listed from highest to lowest student population.
