The Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at University of Arkansas (U of A) houses the School of Art. Within the school are the Graphic Design BFA and MDes programs. Highlights include internship opportunities; individual and collaborative projects; designated workspaces in the Studio + Design Center located in the Windgate Arts and Design District; access to state-of-the-art equipment in the Design Lab; and the U of A Chapter of the AIGA Student Group. Students also enjoy access to the Design Clinic—a multipurpose space consisting of classrooms, a design studio, labs, and a community center. Graduates have gone on to land positions at places such as Amazon, Saatchi & Saatchi X, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Walmart, J.B. Hunt, Sam’s Club, Marketing 180, and WEHCO Media, Inc.
University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) is home to the School of Art and Design. Within the school are several paths to study graphic design. Degree seeking students can earn an Art BA with a concentration in Studio Art or Studio Art BFA with an emphasis in Graphic Design. For students seeking a shorter path, the school has Graphic Design technical certificate program. All degree-seeking students will complete a professional internship or Professional Practice course. Other program benefits include access to state-of-the-art studios and labs; workshops; collaborative classrooms; and the Windgate Center of Art + Design (WCAD). Programs culminate with a project and exhibition. Graduates have gone on to land positions at places such as Fastsigns, Imprenta Printing, CFS Technologies, and Simmons Bank.
