The College of Arts and Sciences at University of Louisville (UofL) is home to the Department of Art and Design. Endowed as the Hite Institute of Art and Design, the department houses a Graphic Design BFA program that admits less than 25 students per year. Program features include state-of-the-art production studios and labs; internship opportunities at places such as KFC Corporation and 22Squared; and Directed Studies, which allows students to collaborate with engineering majors in the Engineering + Entrepreneurship Capstone course. UofL Design alumni have gone on to establish careers with the U.S. Army, and places such as Deloitte, Epic, PepsiCo, ESPN, PwC, Aramark, and Kentucky Derby Museum.

2. Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights, Kentucky

The College of Arts and Sciences (COAS) at Northern Kentucky University (NKU) houses an Art and Design program with a Visual Communication Design (VCD) track. Leading to a BA or BFA, the program provides access to state-of-the-art labs and studio spaces in the NKU Fine Arts Center. Students also benefit from optional cooperative education experiences; workshops and seminars; internship opportunities; and career development resources. The BA culminates with a final project. BFA students will complete a senior capstone and exhibition to graduate. Program alumni have been hired at places such as Amazon, Meta, P&G, Adobe, Kroger, AAA Club Alliance, Medspace, Inc., and Accenture.
