1. The Game Assembly, Malmo, Sweden
The Game Assembly

The Game Assembly (TGA) is a Houdini Certified School with locations in Sweden and the UK. The school houses a Game Animator diploma program that emphasizes collaboration. Throughout the program, students have the opportunity to work in cross-disciplinary teams to create several playable games. This immersive 30-month program also takes place in a studio-like environment, with a mandatory 30-week internship at a real game design studio. Many of these internships lead to employment.

Graduates are routinely hired at places such as Electronic Arts (EA), Massive Entertainment (a Ubisoft Studio), Guerilla Games (PlayStation Studios), Avalanche Studios Group, Larian Studios, and Cloud Imperium Games.

2. PlaygroundSquad, Falun, Sweden
PlaygroundSquad

PlaygroundSquad (PSQ) is an Unreal Academic Partner and Authorized Sony Training Center that accepts just 40 students each year. Also part of PlayStation First, the school houses a Game Artist diploma program that explores animation, VFX, 3D modeling, graphics, and more. Other program highlights include a mandatory six-month internship at a game studio in Sweden or abroad; three different projects where students work in teams to develop playable games; and access to state-of-the-art production tools such as PlayStation hardware.

PSQ graduates are frequently hired at places such as Electronic Arts (EA), Ubisoft, Farshark, Starbreeze Entertainment, Deadghost Interactive, Embark Studios, Section 9 Interactive, and Aurora Arts Studio.
