Scope of Program:
Digital Technology and Culture students at Washington State University Vancouver may choose either the Media Authoring or Knowledge Management and Production concentration. Students in both concentrations complete core courses in digital diversity, digital media, information systems, electronic research and the rhetoric of information, language, texts and technology, multimedia authoring and art and science electives. All students complete a senior seminar and create a portfolio.
Media Authoring students focus on digital storytelling, digital animation, composition and design and advanced multimedia authoring. Knowledge Management and Production students concentrate on computer-human interface, data management systems, systems analysis and design and telecommunications and networking in business.
Students may incur art lab fees of up to $25 per class. Need-based and merit scholarships are available. Residents of Washington may apply for state-sponsored scholarships and grants.
