An Homage to Lady Gaga

The idea was conceived to be intro to a Lady Gaga music video. The puppets are wire and milliput armatures with needle felted heads and the limbs wrapped in natural wool roving. The costumes were sewn onto miniature felt onesies in order to allow easy access to the puppets for costume changes and repairs. We shot it using a phone and a tablet and a software called 'I can animate'. Facial features and lipsync were added in tvpaint.
